The place is incredible! The fridge was stocked with free beers, juice, water, and snacks. The bed was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. The space was vast and well-appointed, and the security codes on the locks were a convenient touch. We had an amazing time there and highly recommend it. The staff also suggested Restaurante Castro, where we had some incredible meals. The octopus and fish were particularly delicious.

We were not welcomed here. The staff at the cafe would not speak to us. We ended up leaving and staying in Mos where we were welcomed

not a depressing city but stay in Moss if you can!

O Porrino is a bit depressing, especially if it’s cold and rainy. If you can keep going past it, it gets much nicer. If you’re walking from Tui to O Porrino, definitely take the scenic route at the splitting of the ways (a few km out of Tui). It’s about 1.5km longer but is really worth it.

If I want to stay overnight in Vigo instead of Porrino, what are the most convenient way of public transportation?

As you leave O Porrino the edge of town has a walking bridge in construction but the markers do not give a good clear way to the detour.

Alojamientos Central is a nice place to stay. Right above Restaurant Paso a Nival. Convenient for lunch, dinner and breakfast

Camino de Sant…

Leaving porriño at the roundabout there is a Camino sign that appears to point right up a dirt path. I followed the wisepilgrim map instead and went straight though the roundabout following painted arrows on the ground. Other pilgrims went up the dirt path, but it appeared to lead to a rec area instead of the Camino in my opinion.

If you do stop in Porriño, pension cando is a very clean and central place. It’s basically a large apartment with a number of rooms that are rented out. It has a small shared kitchen with kettle, microwave , fridge, and a laundry area to rinse/wash clothes. The bedroom was roomy, clean and tidy. All fine for 2 pelegrinos.
