Spendengestützt, gute Ausstattung. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es eine Waschmaschine gab, aber während meines Aufenthalts gab es zwei (heiße :)) Duschen im Frauenbad und eine Toilette. Freundlicher Gastgeber, wie viele der Hospitaleros, denen ich begegnet bin, hatte er einen besonderen Sinn für Humor. Das trägt zur Atmosphäre bei.

Ein Standard-Albergue, nicht besser und nicht schlechter als andere auf dem Weg von Irun. Der Besitzer ist ein sehr angenehmer und höflicher Herr, der klassische Musik hört, was eine schöne Atmosphäre schafft.
Was die Einrichtungen betrifft, sind die Matratzen und Kissen mit Kunststoff bezogen, wie in den meisten Alberguen, und es werden Einweg-Bettlaken bereitgestellt. Ich habe auf Bettwanzen geprüft und keine gefunden; außerdem können sie wirklich nicht in diese Kunststoffbezüge eindringen.
Es gibt eine Dusche für Männer und eine für Frauen, das stimmt. Die Küche ist mit einem Wasserkocher und einer Mikrowelle ausgestattet. Zum Wäschewaschen gibt es Außenwaschbecken zum Handwaschen und in der Nähe Wäscheleine. Sie stellen auch Spinde für Ihre Rucksäcke zur Verfügung.
Insgesamt ist es ein durchaus akzeptables Albergue. Ich vermute, dass die negativen Bewertungen von lokalen Hotels stammen könnten. Ich habe eine Spende von €15 hinterlassen

As it is a donativo do not expect too much
I think that not every pilgrim contributes as the entire facility needs some updates.
Hostess was very friendly.

Only 3 of us in the Albergue so very quiet & no dinner or breakfast. Fine but very basic (and quite chilly!)

Great albergue. Staff are really kind and helpful and around alot. They were constantly wanting to help or make you smile! Good kitchen space with tea and coffee. Staff brought fresh bread for breakfast. Off season so no pilgrim dinner as others have written about. Great swimming beach and cafes around for food.

The albergue has a nice yard to sit outside, but the rooms are a bit crowded. The beach is only 3 a minute from the albergue and is super nice with lot of Spanish people. The supermarket is not nearby, but the pilgrims dinner was nice and plentiful. The ladies that ran it were very helpful in thinking along about possible places to sleep the next day. There is laundry and a drying line. If visiting with nice weather I would definitely recommend.

Camino de Sant…

Arrived 7th April 2017, also find it closed. Stayed at same place and had similar good experience to 21/3/2016 comment

Camino de Sant…

Found it open in May 2018 and run by super nice volunteers. Unfortunately it was full by the time I arrived (18.30 hrs) and volunteers went out of his way to make sure we didn’t have to go somewhere else. Ended up sleeping on the floor on a pile of 6 blankets which actually wasn’t bad at all! It has a cute yard around which has a view of the bay. Wish I had arrived earlier so I would have had time to go swimming in the sea! There’s one restaurant/bar in town that serves a decent pilgrim meal. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Camino de Sant…

Super crowded with bunkbeds very close together. Humid. Not super clean. Hospitaleros didn’t seem too be enjoying their job, unfortunately.
