Lovely alburgue but as there was no meal there we had to walk 1.5km to get to shops and restaurants. Didn’t want to do this after a 32km day of walking

We stayed at an albergue just over the bridge on the way into the city. One of my Korean friends told me the next day that the host was putting all the East Asian pilgrims in a separate, unfinished, second-floor room, while putting other pilgrims in the finished first-floor area. Not sure if the host is always the same or not, but several of us had unpleasant encounters with him and so I wanted to let future pilgrims know to consider a different albergue!

The chapel was beautiful. The accommodations were clean. The staff was very kind and helpful. The courtyard was the perfect place to drink wine and share stories with other pilgrims!
