The Road

Caminoen følger vejen ud af byen i retning af Fontaínhas og holder til venstre ved vejkrydset og forlader den trafikerede vej lige før et sving. Den passerer gennem en lille landsby og krydser derefter tilbage over vejen. Gamle pile indikerer, at caminoen fortsætter langs vejen, men denne vej bør kun følges, hvis broen ved Ponte do Ave ikke kan passeres.

Venligt og imødekommende hostel - dejlig vært Vi havde dobbeltværelset. Vaskemaskine og tørretumbler. Vin og kage blev tilbudt om aftenen - te, kaffe osv

I stayed there the two nights ago. Hosts were gracious and helpful. Good facilities and I spent some time on a chaise lounge in the shade. Hosts served port wine and sweet cakes. You do not want to miss this!

What a great place for a full hot lunch. Hugo was wonderful and the food was delicious and inexpensive.

I enjoyed very much the pilgrim’s dinner that included a soft drink and coffee/tea. I chose the omelette and they also had codfish (looked like a huge serving) and something else. They also offered me a free glass of Porto red wine, and drove me back to the hostel (600m away) as it was heavily raining with lightning! How nice could they be!

Lovely hostel and welcoming host with cup of tea
And biscuits .
