We stayed at La Biznaga three days ago and absolutely enjoyed the experience. Susan and Rocia were so welcoming as you are , indeed, staying in part of their home. Nice bathroom and rooms were comfortable. We had a bunk and single bed in our room and as some guests were 'no shows', we had the room to ourselves. The other couple staying the night also had their room to themselves. Breakfast, including home made jam was very good and as others have said, Susan was flexible in providing an earlier meal so we could all get on the road.

As someone interested in all the stone villages we walk through, I really enjoyed the opportunity to spend time in Valtuille de Aribbe and learn more about the village.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a more 'home-like' accommodation experience.

With the Camino overtaken by large Alburgues now, this was a special treat. There is only space for 6 in their home, but you immediately feel like you have a local family with Susan, Rocio, and their very well-behaved dogs. I slept on real cotton sheets and bedding after a long time. The meal of Castillan soup and a Rice vegetable dish (which they modified for me as a vegetarian), and bread was delicious and nutritious. Rocio is a fabulous cook, and you can taste the love that goes into everything.

This is a very small town but I feel like we had all we needed and enjoyed spending time on the terrace. Susan is fluent in English and I really enjoyed the conversations. She took time to be with each of the guests and share more about the village and their lives here. Breakfast is usually at 7, but she has it ready at 6:30, since two of us were leaving early, and insisted on being there to say goodbye. I really felt the spirit of the Camino here. ❤️

I just have to echo previous comments. Susan welcomed me at the door with a hug and cold water. She has two bedrooms with a bunk and single bed in each. Everything was provided - sheets and blankets, towel, shampoo, body soap. Vegetarian dinner came from her garden. I felt like I was staying in her guest bedroom. This place is not even in the same league as other albergues. Can’t say enough.

Amazing place to stay. Feels like visiting an old friend. Welcomed from the start; supper was incredible - plentiful and delicious; very comfortable beds. Highly recommend staying here.

Amazing little place to stay. The most gracious hosts we have had. Best home cooked meal in Spain. Great showers, comfortable beds with only 3 to a room. Dogs to play with if you’re interested. Susan speaks great English and so easy to engage with. We got a private tour of the church and was able to ring the church bells. If I ever return to Spain I will definitely be back. We left feeling very happy, calm and grateful with our cups full after 22 days of walking!

This is a small albergue run by two lovely women, peregrinas themselves. We stayed here on the first night of our camino and felt so invited, Warm and loved by the hosts. We met some amazing fellow peregrinas too and the dinner was delicious.

Note that this is a detour from the main route to Villafranca from Cacabelos. We were able to coordinate via WhatsApp.
