Ambasmestas doit son nom au confluent des deux rivières de la vallée, la Valcárcel ("vallée de la prison" ainsi nommée en raison de sa largeur) et la Balboa. Au-dessus de toi s'élève l'autoroute A-6 qui relie A Coruña à Madrid.

Cet endroit est tellement accueillant. J'y ai eu le dîner végétarien le plus délicieux, et le propriétaire et Aileen sont tous les deux si charmants et accueillants. Beaucoup d'efforts et de réflexion ont été consacrés à fournir tout ce dont un randonneur fatigué pourrait avoir besoin à la fin de la journée. C'est un endroit tellement magnifique, et c'est mon préféré jusqu'à présent.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés pour déjeuner en route vers Las Herrerias. Le meilleur repas que ma femme et moi ayons eu sur le Camino. Nous avons mangé des pâtes végétariennes et du poulet avec des pommes de terre. En dessert, des brownies. Tout fait maison. Nous avions également accès à la rivière depuis la propriété pour tremper nos pieds dans l'eau froide de la rivière pour récupérer.

An oasis of space to feed the soul. Gorgeous indoor snd outdoor space i took a dip in the river and felt so refreshed. Mme breakfast is delicious with home-made Clementine and fig jam and an omelette made with love. Dinners are mostly vegetarian and the bread is to die for. I stayed 2 nights and less than 10 stayed each night tho they have capacity for 20 which woukd be a squeeze with just 1 toilet and shower for each gender. The cat and the music knut plays was a delight and I was lucky he had a meditation one night which was special.

Make sure you stay here, you’ll remember it for the rest of your life

It is so open and light filled. Many spaces to sit and relax and books to explore. The beds are comfy and well positioned with your own space

Knut cooks traditional food full of vegetables that taste divine. I felt like I was being nourished to sustain me for the rest of my journey

The meditation that is optional at night helped my body relax and heal, very special experience. Juliet the cat even joins in

Forever thankful we found this place and experienced the love and comfort
