La Iglesia de San Martín de Calzadilla, posiblemente la iglesia menos visitada a lo largo del camino, tiene una generosa exhibición de cruces de Santiago.

The Road

El camino entre aquí y Ledigos, a una distancia de 6,2 km, tiene varios desvíos. Un gran marcador de piedra en las afueras de la ciudad indica las posibles rutas por delante. Estas variaciones te llevarán más lejos en la ladera y lejos de la carretera. La mayoría se fusiona poco antes de entrar en Ledigos, pero la que se mantiene más a la izquierda/oeste (conocida como la Ruta Palomares debido al número de palomares en el camino) circunvala tanto a Ledigo como a Teradilllos y es la ruta más corta a Moratinos.

Hay dos furgonetas de café a lo largo de la etapa de 17 km de hoy, aproximadamente en los puntos de 7 km y 8 km. No estoy seguro de si esto ocurre todos los días.

Tres de nosotros nos hospedamos aquí el 28 de febrero de 2026. El hospitalero era errático, impredecible y parecía estar borracho. No respetaba nuestra privacidad. Podíamos escucharlo gritando y chillando durante toda la noche, azotando puertas y lanzando cosas. Si este hospitalero sigue allí, ¡no te sugeríamos que te quedes!

Desafortunadamente, como en otros lugares del Camino hasta ahora, esta iglesia también está cerrada. Me parece una lástima poder visitar tan pocas iglesias.

I stayed at Albergue Los Canarios back in 2017 and had the best ever pilgrim dinner at their restaurant. I don't remember what my first course was, but the second course was roasted lemon chicken with roasted potatoes (no French fries!) and red pepper puree. When I returned to Calzadilla de la Cueza this year I crossed my fingers that they were still serving this excellent menú and fortunately they are. I started with a delicious gazpacho and once again had the lemon chicken. Still the best!

I booked a private room which is a different building a little ways to the left of the albergue you run into when arriving to this small village. It was a pleasant enough stay. Kind people, good enough food, clean room with a private bathroom. I love the interior plants.

Nataneal is a great host, friendly & welcoming. The pool is large enough to swim in, cool & clean. There are hand washing facilities with soap provided, plus a washing machine & tumble dryer if required. For only 10 euros, we were very happy. Breakfast was outstanding! 3 euros for a great buffet that would have cost €5 or. €6 elsewhere. The albergue is still a work in progress- so get there early to get showered before the rush

This place is so modern and comfortable… totally clean ofcourse.
I felt almost like having a hotel room :)

After the highway of pilgrims in the morning I had a wonderful and peaceful afternoon from Calzadilla to Moratinos without seeing another person. To do this take the most southern of the routes to bypass Ledigos, but you need this app to navigate the myriad of local tracks and sometimes you are feeling you are heading way off course. But well worth it.
