Las críticas antiguas te dicen que está cerrado, pero para mí en 2026 está abierto.
Edificio asombroso. Sin literas, sábanas reales, almohadas y mantas. Puedes tener un menú de cena asombroso aquí. No había desayuno disponible para mí sin embargo, tendrás que caminar 2 km hasta el próximo café, donde el desayuno es asombroso.

El Albergue Mercadoiro tiene habitaciones que se sienten como un cálido abrazo de la historia, con gruesos muros de piedra y vigas de madera antigua que hacen que el espacio se sienta increíblemente auténtico. Es impecable y acogedor, pero la verdadera magia está en mirar por la ventana o sentarse en el jardín y ver las ondulantes colinas verdes de Galicia extenderse frente a ti.
También es un lugar perfecto para dejar tu mochila y disfrutar de un excelente almuerzo. Es un pequeño santuario tranquilo que te recuerda por qué comenzaste esta caminata en primer lugar.

I really wanted to stay here but it didn't happen! I tried emailing twice, using 2 different email addresses, several days in advance of my hoped-for visit. But no reply to either.

Then I tried phoning twice and each time got a voice message saying the phone number was not available and to call back later. I tried WhatsApp too. In the end I wondered whether they had closed for the season.

On visiting the property today, while on my Camino, it was very busy (open). Unfortunately there were no rooms available 😭

A real upper class cafe, opens 10am. Albergue not open yet for season 5/04/24 but this is the nicest cafe and restaurant I've seen. Offers pilgrim brunch, but a huge range of other options too. Albergue looks really nice
