Eine kleine Stadt, aber mit vielen Dienstleistungen; die erste seit langem die Vorstadt-Zersiedelung hat (wie klein sie auch ist).

Entlang des Radweges im oberen Teil der Stadt finden Sie das Restaurant O'Bras, am Ende der Straße die Kirche und die Albergue (mit Waschsalon darunter) sowie ein Restaurant.

Geschichte

Die Namen Alvaiázere und Alvorge weiter entlang des Camino (sowie viele andere Wörter, die mit "Al-" beginnen) stammen aus dem Arabischen. „Alvaiázere“ leitet sich von "Falkner" her und Alvorge kommt von " Turm". Weder die Falkner noch den Turm gibt es noch.

Wegbeschreibung

Es führen mehrere Straßen aus der Stadt hinaus, aber der Camino ist gut markiert. Achten Sie jedoch immer auf die Pfeile und wenn Sie gerne vor der Morgendämmerung starten, sollten Sie sich den Weg vorher anschauen.

Verlassen Sie die Stadt auf der Straße vor der Kirche und biegen Sie an einer großen Palme rechts ab.

Vorausbuchung ist notwendig - dies ist ein unbemannter Ort. Sehr komfortabel, nur 2 Zimmer (ein Doppelzimmer, ein Stockbettenzimmer), makellos mit privaten Bädern und Jacuzzi! Großartige Kochgelegenheiten. Beachte, dass dies in einem kleinen Dorf vor Alvaiazere liegt. Möglichkeiten für Essen sind Verpflegung selbst mitbringen und kochen, 800m zum Supermarkt gehen, oder 2km nach Alvaiazere gehen. Nummer für den Taxifahrer an der Seite in der Küche war günstig und schnell!

We were very pleased to find cafe as piscinas open, everywhere else closed at 9.30am

I loved this albergue. The host takes the time to give each pilgrim a unique stamp. You can tell he really puts a lot of love into this place. If you are looking for spotless, fancy facilities, go elsewhere. But if you are looking for a unique, beautiful, down-to-earth, truly Camino-esque experience, you MUST stay here.

Well positioned and you can choose shared or private rooms, sheets, blankets are supplied and breakfast also is an option. My favourite part however, was the stamping ceremony, the shot of port and the greeting everyone receives. John Brierly loved it also in his lifetime, now his daughter is taking that room named in his honour.

This place is a must do if you’re walking Camino portugués, the host Carlos is amazing making the best stamp with a lot of care. The nearby restaurant is nice too.

Go to alberque pinheiros.
Carlos is such a warm host en makes a whole awesome ritual of the stamp.
He can be a hard man to catch on the phone but call a thousand times and then he will call you back.
Don't miss this guy and his nice alberque

Stayed at pinheiro. Carlos takes 10 mi uses to make a personal unique stamp. He's a great host. Recommend staying here

Decent rooms and very calm. Food of the restaurant was also good, but their pricing is outrageous, 63€ for 2 pers. dinner is way too much. Be careful if you are more sensitive. It is plausible that price is "adjusted" according to the customer.
