Lires è l'unico posto tra Finisterre e Muxía in cui puoi fare rifornimento. Ha anche una spiaggia a 1,5 km. Ci sono quattro Case Rurali che offrono alloggio e al momento della stesura di questo articolo erano tutte prenotabili online.

Attenzione

Non dimenticare di fare un timbro qui, disponibile in tutti i bar e nella piccola area di sosta vicino alla chiesa (segnalata).

Il cammino

Alla nota di FINISTERRE: In fondo a Lires, di fronte alla chiesa, ci sono delle frecce dipinte in ROSSO che indicano un'opzione "costiera" per Finisterre che gira a destra e segue la costa per ricongiungersi al Cammino vicino a Castrexe. Questa opzione aggiunge 1,1 km al percorso ma offre panorami migliori e la possibilità di fare una pausa in spiaggia.

The fairly new Liresca Restaurant in Lires is great. Good and interesting food options using local ingredients and different food choices from the usual Camino staples!

There are hardly any markings for this route including near the church. I had to download alltrails to be able to find and follow it. In some places it felt quite sketchy- right along the cliff edges and track very overgrown. Got lost a couple of times despite having the all trails map.

Having said that, the views were stunning. I eventually made it to fisterre (walked muxia to fisterre) pretty exhausted!

I had a reservation at the Albergue in Lires, As Eiras.
I was at the same albergue in 2017 and 2018. Everything was nice at that time.
But now the hotel receive buses of tourists and they party all afternoon and evenings.
I will never come back , it doesn't feel like a peaceful rest for the pilgrims who walked long kilometers .
I find there was no spirit of the way here.

The red arrows are not where the app describes. They show up just before A Canosa so keep going after you see the “P” s printed in bright orange/ red.
