I tried to make a reservation for June but never heard back from them. Eventually contacted them and was told the date I had wanted was a Monday and that they are closed for rest that day.

Would not recommend. Cold, indifferent reception, and during the entire stay. Private rooms are tiny- just 2 single beds, no hooks anywhere in the Albergue to hang up wet jackets, trousers, etc. No common area to sit except outside. (In the rain). Dining room fireplace on all day so it was uncomfortably warm during dinner. Should have gone to Tio Pepe where pilgrim friends said they had a good stay.

The lady charged me €5.95 for a peach, two yogurts and a snack bag of cashews. Feel like I’ve been cheated.

Be aware it's a long straight road from Villar de Mazarife to Villavante, about 10km. No services, no water, no shelter. Bear in mind that Villavante is small, and there's not much there so the next place is O Hospital (plenty of options there for food and accommodation) which is maybe 4km further..

Very welcoming staff. Nice clean rooms and bathroom. Local bar/restaurant used by pilgrims and locals. Great garden/back yard area for relaxing. Food surprisingly good and not just standard salat/chicken/ice-cream menu like any other albergue.

I’m staying in a private room at Tio Pepe and it’s a really nice place. My room is very comfortable, there is a lovely courtyard which is popular with pilgrims and locals, and the staff are very hard working and attentive. There are vegan and vegetarian options too. Plus the drinks are very reasonable. Definitely one of the better places I have stayed on the Camino

ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY TIME HERE!! Hosts were amazing and super friendly. The communal dinner was phenomenal as well. Cute small little place and very clean!

Very friendly host. Carries you bag to your bed for you! Rather clean place, separate bathrooms for men and women, a bit small. Beds aren’t very comfortable, mattresses are very thin/soft so you do feel the bunk bed metal when laying down. Other than that overall not too bad of an experience!

Amazing place to stay. If you want to splurge a little on a private room, this place is a little slice of heaven with attentive hosts who will whip you up a nice dinner for 20 euros, which ends up being worth it. The price includes a beverage of your choice, and my hubby said his g&t was perfect.

Woman at the bar was very friendly checking 2 of us in and explained the dinner and breakfast schedule-in Spanish. Pilgrim dinner (15 euros) was delicious with multiple choices of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Menu included a bottle of local wine to share. The restaurant seems very popular with the locals—not surprised because there didn’t look like there were other options. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Shared bath was clean, with a good shower.
