The Road

Resten af vejen går gennem Santiagos forstæder, som er en blanding af moderne byggeri og gamle stenhuse, hvoraf mange er smukke. Caminoen krydser jernbanesporene meget tæt på det sted, hvor RENFE-toget blev afsporet i juli 2013 og dræbte 79 mennesker og sårede mange flere. Hegnet er blevet et midlertidigt mindesmærke med mange rørende mindesmærker, fotos og bønner.

We stayed here on the last day of our Camino as a treat after the albergues. Absolutely 100% worth it. Patricia welcomed us like family and made our stay memorable with a cold drink on arrival, home cooked dinner and an amazing breakfast to get us going the next day.

Highly recommend a stay at Casa de Casal if it is on or near your route, Camino or otherwise.

We stopped for a quick beer and were given the most ridiculously generous free tapas: a plate of churros and chocolate covered palmeras AND a huge plate of seafood salad. Friendly service and lovely people. (Mark & Narina)

I got B&B in July for €67. Biggest bed I've ever slept in! Luxurious stay, very glad I did.

Beautiful place, kind hostess. Would spend €100 for this place. If you can splurge for your last day, do it!

Camino de Sant…

This was the most comfortable casa rural I have stayed in, and made for a leisurely walk into Santiago the next morning. It is also located very close to Pico Sacro for a lovely detour. And a terrific breakfast for 6euros!

Camino de Sant…

I stopped here for the pilgrims meal on my way into town, unfortunately it seemed rather dirty and the only thing they could offer me for the pilgrims menu was pulpo. There were no other patrons in the place, never a great sign. The place I stayed that evening recommended the bars and restaurants in town as much better.

Camino de Sant…

A great place to stay on your last night on the Camino if you can splurge a bit. Worth every penny. Beautiful grounds and great breakfast.
