Not to be missed, the host Alex is very helpful and obliging. The actual building is amazing. The history of the building is a great story, a blend of old and new.

Very clean and has all the facilities, you just need to bring your own food, you can pick this up at the supermarket in Sobrado.

Seriously, I could spend a week here and more, there is no other like it.

A great place with a great host. Remember to bring own food or take cheap taxi ride to town where good and affordable menu del día. Have the host show you the before and after photos of the renovation- an amazing job

This albergue is a great place to stay. Very beautiful building, in which old and new are combined. The host is a nice young man who will arrange everything for you that you need. Be sure to bring your own food from Sobrado (supermarket). There is a fully equipped kitchen that pilgrims can use. In earlier years, the albergue offered food (mentioned below in the reviews here) but this is not currently a possibility. Very nice bunk beds with lots of space between them and private rooms as well. Great outdoor space, quiet surroundings.

This place is the most amazing place to stay in. It has this gorgeous architecture, the music is perfect, food is great, dorms are spacious and comfortable, and the surroundings with the forrest is nice. There really no downside downside to this place, it is perfect!!! You have to stay here, this place is not to be missed since it is an attraction in itself.

This was hands down the best albergue we stayed at along the Norte! The house is beautiful and peaceful with a great backyard and great hospitality. The dinner served was delicious and breakfast was great and offered more options than the typical toast and coffee. The place was very clean and newly renovated. Definitely worth the stay!

As said by others, this is a very nice place. Clean, well-designed, has Pilgrim bunk beds and private rooms. Offers a nice dinner at extra cost. Has washer/dryer, you can also hand wash and line dry clothes. Spacious m/f shared bathrooms, great sitting areas and relaxed atmosphere. Drinks are also available. Friendly hostelero speaks English. Recommended!

This was absolutely my most favourite place to stay on the whole of the del Norte trail. It has been in the same family since 1735 and has been designed to incorporate the old building with new architecture with a stunning result.

The host is lovely and the atmosphere is wonderful. I only wish I had arranged a day off here so that we could have stayed longer.

Don't miss the opportunity to stay here!

Wir waren begeistert von dem stylischen Design, der perfekten Umsetzung der Verbindung zwischen Alt und Neu und der Freundlichkeit des jungen, netten Herbergvaters. Für uns die schönste Herberge am del Norte.

I totally agree with the former comments: Abeiro da Loba is the most beautiful albergue on the camino. Do not be fooled by Booking: it is possible to rent a bed (15 euro), next to renting a private (and very beautiful) room. Just call the albergue and enjoy your stay!
