The Road

Die ersten 1,8 km von Gondar führen über eine asphaltierte Straße. Der Camino verlässt sie schließlich über einen Pfad nach rechts. Er nähert sich dem Dorf Bascuas 110,2 und kehrt dann auf die LU-530 zurück. Auf dieser viel befahrenen Straße nach Lugo kommst du an einem Schild vorbei, das den Eingang zu Carballido ankündigt, obwohl du die Stadt, die links von dir im Wald liegt, nie sehen wirst. Stattdessen biegt der Camino 400 m nach diesem Schild nach rechts ab, um auf einer Landstraße zum Weiler As Casas da Viña weiterzugehen.

Just insite gondar you will find a nice spot to sit, deink and grab a sandwitch from vending machines. There is also coffee.

A very welcome break with soda, snacks, coffee and a toaster oven if you need it.

The covers are still on. A place to stop but not to buy or re supply. And note that all the Fuentes on the stage have notices saying they’re not guaranteed to be sanitary. So, no drinking water refills on this long stage

In fact looking behind the covers the machines have actually been removed.

As of 3rd August 2019 the vendor machines in Gondar are switched off and covered up. Use new cafe in Vikar de Cas before Gondar instead.
