The Road

Am Anfang von Reguengo steigt die Straße ein paar Meter hinauf auf den Hochwasserdamm, der die Häuser zu Ihrer Linken mit offenen Ebenen zu Ihrer Rechten trennt. Am Ortsende führt die Straße hinab und Sie folgen der Grasbewachsenen Böschung rechts von Ihnen weiter den ganzen Weg nach Valada.

Nice local Café with helful lady. Happy with google translate in ordering and asking questions about nearest Pharmacia (Cartaxo). Coffee and waterstop were welcome. Obrigada!

Went into this place this morning after reading all the reviews on here. The lady in question didn't smile but she was pleasant. She didn't smile at the locals either. Lovely coffee and cake. I may have been lucky as I can speak Portuguese!

I'm assuming the bar everyone is mentioning is Cafe Campino. The lady is still cranky. I walked in and said good morning in Portugese and then asked for something. She ignored me the first few times. Unfortunately I needed a toilet after the long section of farm fields so I gave her my business because there was nothing else available.

The footpath is severely overgrown about 100m from the marker, follow the road, stay on the left.

Serving lady very rude. Didn't have "black tea" available. Offered to pay for hot water with fruit juices, but she refused to give us hot water.
Walk on to Valada to the beach, the guy there wouldn't take any money for the hot water and so he gained our custom and we had food and drinks there. After doing 4 of the camino's this woman's behaviour was disgusting and disappointing.

The footpath on the right at the end of town doesn’t go very far and needs a long rocky butt slide to get down to the road. So, just take the road.

The serving lady was on the phone; nevertheless, I was served expediently. Nice to finally have my morning coffee and tart!

Not to recommend....the serving lady did not allowe me to eat my own sandwich on the dirty terrace after ordering coffee....
