Die Wanderung nach O Porriño kann entlang der Hauptstraße oder entlang des Flusses erfolgen. Wiederum gibt es viele widersprüchliche Pfeile und Warnhinweise. Die Gabelung ist unmittelbar nach dem Unterqueren der Autobahn und die neue alternative Flussroute führt hier sofort scharf nach links. Die Entfernung in die Stadt ist gleich weit.

Even in winter the river route is just fine

We took the river route today at the end of the walk into O Porrino and regretted it. It felt isolated and a bit unsafe, plus they are digging it up in places so not easy to traverse.
Would suggest the approved alternative route marker is followed after you go under the bridge.

Their are several places along this route to take your shoes off and enjoy the river. After a long day of walking the cool water was refreshing.

I don't think the river route is the same distance as the standard route. The signboard at the start suggests it is longer by about 1.5 km. Having now done both, the river routeIt is much nicer, and well worth doing.

On the far edge of town there is a wonderful pilgrims and locals cafe, called San Campio, with omelettes, sandwiches and salads. Great music. Perfect rest stop before the last 3-4 IMS into O Porrino.
