Fiesta

San Emeterio und San Celedonio werden am 29. August gefeiert.

The Road

We stayed at the Albergue Hospital de Peregrinos in Isla. Felipe and Jaime treated us very well; the facilities are excellent, and the bunks are large and not noisy. They offer a fantastic, extensive dinner option and a good breakfast.
The place, both inside and out, is great.
Excellent option to relax before going to GUEMES museum albergue in a oroper way. Last 5 kms to Guemes are hard, so you'd better stop here and cut Next stage to 15 kms.
Great beach close to this ISLA albergue.
It IS located in a very nice area

If you have cash for a rest half day, they allow check in from 2pm so you can shower then hit the beach in the afternoon. Very pleasant!

Off the main camino route, on the old route! A wonderful find! It's totally worth it. A well thought out albergue with ample showers and toilets, Great dinning space and wonderful views to watch the sun set and rise! Run by an amazing guy who cooks a wonderful homemade dinner! One if the best yet!

If you can justify breaking your Camino in Noja, you will be rewarded with the most fantastic beaches. Highly recommend for a rest day.

The albergue just before Noja is closed for the season and there is no albergues in Noja. We stayed in the albergue in Isla (about 5 km from Noja) just beside the church. Very nice spacious rooms with kitchen and nice baths! The price is 10€ per person and you can have a pilgrims meal for10€ aswell. There is no supermarket in the town, but there is a restaurant very close to the albergue. They serve food from 20.30. The albergue is a nice alternative to staying at a more expensive hotel in Noja.

After Noja you can go to a very nice albergue in Isla that right next to the very large church ( Parroquia Isla.). 27 beds, clean and quiet. In the past the albergue and the route to Isla were in my guidebooks as the main route but this guide does not have the route or the albergue. The way to Isla and from Isla to Güemes is marked with arrows and Camino signs and is a nice walk.
