Lires ist der einzige Ort zwischen Finisterre und Muxía, an dem du dich versorgen kannst. Es hat auch einen Strand in 1,5 km Entfernung.

The Road

NACH FINISTERRE ANMERKEN: Am unteren Ende von Lires, gegenüber der Kirche, sind Pfeile in ROT angebracht, die eine "Küsten"-Option nach Finisterre anzeigen, die nach rechts abbiegt und der Küste folgt, um in der Nähe von Castrexe wieder auf den Camino zu treffen. Diese Option verlängert die Route um 1,1 km, bietet aber viel bessere Aussichten und die Möglichkeit, eine Pause am Strand einzulegen.

The fairly new Liresca Restaurant in Lires is great. Good and interesting food options using local ingredients and different food choices from the usual Camino staples!

There are hardly any markings for this route including near the church. I had to download alltrails to be able to find and follow it. In some places it felt quite sketchy- right along the cliff edges and track very overgrown. Got lost a couple of times despite having the all trails map.

Having said that, the views were stunning. I eventually made it to fisterre (walked muxia to fisterre) pretty exhausted!

I had a reservation at the Albergue in Lires, As Eiras.
I was at the same albergue in 2017 and 2018. Everything was nice at that time.
But now the hotel receive buses of tourists and they party all afternoon and evenings.
I will never come back , it doesn't feel like a peaceful rest for the pilgrims who walked long kilometers .
I find there was no spirit of the way here.
Time change.

The red arrows are not where the app describes. They show up just before A Canosa so keep going after you see the “P” s printed in bright orange/ red.
