A bit passed the chuch, take the street to the left and you'll find the Alberge on the corner of the next street crossing Just follow the sign, really. It's spacious, clean, clean bathrooms and showers, a laundry place outside. They provide sheet, pillow cover and blanket, the kitchen has plates, cutlery, glasses, coffee and tea, fridge, freezer, microwave and two cooking spaces. No pots though. Close to two archeological places. Hope you also visited the visigothic graves and the santuário on your way here, they are definitely worth it! Mini market has no fresh fruits or vegetables, Sunday Market is for that

Hidden after the turn there is another well equipped bar with some food options and the friendly English speaking bartender allows pilgrims to charge their phones etc 🥰 Bar Areense

The bar next to the post office and opposite the church was closed on Monday (morning). The curch provides some shade 🥳

We took the alternative route through Areias as we hadn’t booked any accommodation. The eight bed municipal hostel was more than we could have hoped for. Had to be patient to be admitted but once inside very impressed.Well equipped kitchen area. Clean bathroom with great shower and plenty of hot water. Lovely garden area with views over Arias. Worth the journey. Food options are a little limited but local store provides basics.
