I am a woman traveling solo and felt perfectly safe and welcomed. Lovely room. Very soundproof. Great bed and soft sheets. Shower was great and lots of hot water. There were other pilgrims staying however, I agree that it is primarily a hotel that caters to business people. I had an excellent stay

Pros: Good price, in its day likely very nice. Marble everywhere! Has sheets and blankets…yay!
Cons: Very, business man oriented…all women get stared at. Single woman AVOID. Very dated, AC didn’t work, shower head was half clogged, room smelled musty.
Food: they serve breakfast and a very late dinner that starts at 2030. Pordillo, a good restaurant in town closes at 1600.
Path: about 1km off the trail, along a busy road that parallels the path.

Stop in here for a meal. Best menu del dia I've had on the Camino. Nothing complicated, but cooked perfectly. 14 euros.

Hostel el Caseron opening today. No beds in previous village but I have a lovely room for 1 person. Beautiful bathroom, great shower €35 including breakfast. Very friendly. Number 987539035
