This is the first hotel on the left after crossing the bridge. Opened at 1:30. Hotel has a restaurant on site with both bar food and regular meals. This is a small family operated establishment with the grandfather doing check in, daughter chef and grandson restaurant helper. Lovely room that had a balcony overlooking the bridge. Breakfast is a la carte and basic.
There is a bus here that can shorten your distance to Astorga . I did this and stopped in San Jan de la Vega for an easier 3 mile walk in. Bus stop is along the main highway with a bus kiosk and across from the petrol station. Alsa is the bus line.

I got a room at this wonderful host style and also took a meal in the beautiful dining room overlooking the bridge. Meal was delicious and the folks who worked there were incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!
