Il cammino

A 10 km da Morille il Cammino passa vicino al villaggio di Miranda de Azán (bar), che si trova a 300 metri di distanza ma è l'unica tappa tra qui e la periferia di Salamanca.

In prossimità di Salamanca passerai sotto due autostrade, la seconda delle quali segna l'ingresso nella sviluppata periferia. Il Cammino raggiunge una rotatoria e la attraversa per entrare in un parco con un percorso pedonale. Segue un piccolo ruscello ed evita le strade asfaltate fino a quando non passa sotto un ponte ferroviario. Alla strada, gira a destra e prosegue dritto verso e attraverso il Río Tormes (18,7 km) attraverso il Puente Romano. Segue un percorso che attraversa il cuore di Salamanca.

Camino de Sant… (not verified)

Having previously walked the main route(yellow dots) I today walked the alternative route as it was a wet miserable day and I wanted to stay off high ground. The main route climbs high and has wonderful panoramic views if the weather is good. The alternative route is mostly on quiet (in November) secondary roads not motorway as previously stated but apart from being slightly shorter hasn’t anything else in its favour. And yes the pig farm smells just as disgusting at this time of year! K

Camino de Sant…

I would advise to everyone to just take the original route from Fuenterroble to Morille, it maybe a bit longer but I’m sure it is much more pleasant.
On the detour there was a time (out of Pedrosillo) when I had to trespass on someone’s property because the map showed me that way (and there were no other way). Also between Pedrosillo and Monterrubio there is a pig slaughter house next to the way. You can hear them crying and also the smell… there are containers next the the road as well with dead pigs in it. From Pedrosillo to Morille all the camino way is on a motorway where the cars are coming from both ways. Overall it is a horrible experience from Pedrosillo to Morille.

Camino de Sant…

The municipal hostal is open, but it was not easy to find, it was not where the map shows it. It is near the Plaza de la Constitucion, by the stream. You get the key and pay at Bar Marcos, which is close by.
