Il cammino

Il cammino da Mougas ad As Mariñas segue l'ormai familiare schema di seguire la pista ciclabile/escursionistica parallela alla strada, allontanandosene occasionalmente.

Nel percorso passerai davanti al campeggio O Muino sulla sinistra, al ristorante OMAR3, ormai in disuso, e al campeggio Mougas (e Albergue Solidario) sulla sinistra.

Ho alloggiato da solo in una camera per tre persone per €50. Il posto era buono in un aspetto e non così buono in un altro. Ho ricevuto ottime istruzioni in anticipo tramite WhatsApp. Compra cibo/bevande nei snack del villaggio. L'alloggio offre cena su richiesta ma solo in contanti. Il posto è essenziale ma spazioso e ha una cucina completamente funzionante, c'è un giardino e WiFi. È un luogo tranquillo. Lo svantaggio era che un letto aveva ancora le lenzuola dell'ospite precedente (probabilmente perché sono arrivato presto e la signora delle pulizie non ha cambiato le lenzuola). Inoltre, la lampada del letto è rotta e non ci sono molte prese di corrente. Il posto è piuttosto freddo all'interno. Nel complesso, il prezzo è sembrato un po' alto per la qualità.

Tra Mougas e As Mariñas abbiamo alloggiato a El Descanso del Peregrino - una casa con 3 camere a meno di 1/2 km dal Camino. Affittano le camere singolarmente come un albergo. C'è una cucina completa, una lavatrice e una splendida zona asciugatura al sole. Non ci sono punti vendita di cibo nelle vicinanze, ma hanno dato ottime istruzioni per portare cibo e informazioni complete del caffè Explanada Horizontales a un paio di km prima di loro. Inoltre, hanno fornito pane, prosciutto, formaggio, frutta, verdure per insalate, tè e caffè. E poi sono ricomparsi all'ora di cena con empanada fatta in casa e torta. Uno dei nostri soggiorni più deliziosi!

We had a private room and it was great. Everything was clean and nice. There is nothing around the albergue beside one the restaurant of the albergue both doesn’t open before 15. So if you arrive before have snacks and water. I recommend stopping for lunch 2 km before the albergues at the restaurants there if you want that.

We got a bedroom for two as a treat , slept with the door onto private balcony open , to the sound of the North Atlantic Ocean. Private bathroom and 57€. The staff are all friendly and enjoy working here it seems, which is a tribute to the owners . A good rest to continue on The Camino.

Just after the camping place (closed this time of year but there was a vending machine and toilets) the Camino route directs you to the right towards the forest track. This is a hilly stony pathway to Baiona and it was flooded in places. It is possibly as quick and definitely easier to stay on the yellow bike lane following the coast.

I paid €42 for a private double room.
Private balcony with sea view was a welcomed extra bonus. Could enjoy open door all night with fresh sea air.
Clean room and bathroom although outdated.
Breakfast was disappointing. Only coffee and a very small scone.

The only caffe opens from 3pm.
There is a greenhouse and they sell water.
Also from Portocello till this point there is no water fountain.

We had a very nice and cheap breakfast at the camping place just outside mougas, very nice and sweet people

Camino de Sant…

I stayed at the above Albergue last night. It was beautiful and clean. View outstanding. Great experience. Sheets and towels provided. Really recommend them. Price 12 Euros.
