Il ristorante Asador El Tremendo offre il menù del pellegrino a 10€. Il negozio di alimentari di Cizur MAYOR si trova a due passi dal centro, in direzione ovest; in paese è tuttavia presente anche un negozietto che vende beni di prima necessità.

Festività

La Romería (una specie di pellegrinaggio locale) al Santuario de Nuestra Señora del Perdón (omonimo dell’alto che si trova più avanti, leggete la sezione storica qui sotto) si svolge il lunedì di Pasquetta.

Storia

Gli hospitaleros di Gerusalemme (i Cavalieri di Malta) si prendevano cura dei pellegrini da qui all’Alto de Pedrón. Con la scomparsa dei Cavalieri Templari, estesero il loro raggio d’azione anche ad ovest, a Puente la Reina.

Like other comments say, there are some restaurants but there is also a small grocery right next to La Parrillada which has mostly shelf stable goods and dairy products. But it’s good to pick up some stuff if staying in the Order of Malta albergue and you want to cook.

The hospital is where I had to stay . It hosts up to 6 pilgrims ages 60 and over. Wonderful place, $40 euro gets private room, soaps, towels, blankets, dinner and breakfast! I loved the hospital !!

It's uphill from Pamplona to Cizur Mayor and the hill continues up to Alta Perdon.

Lovely spot for water in the park at Cizur mayor, fill up here.

Accommodation half full tonight. Limited food options in town but a pilgrim menu available.

is very much open. It’s Sunday at 12pm and around 8 people here. Only breakfast available. Kitchen available. No shops in the small town but a couple bars/ restaurants are open in the day . Pilgrims mass at 6.30pm.

The supermarket on the way was closed and had a sign saying liquidation on the door. It might be best not to rely on this one right now. Worth someone else’s opinion as it is currently a holiday period.
