Abadín è sostenuta dal traffico dei pellegrini del Cammino e da quello dei camion del vicino svincolo. Da qui a Santiago la vicinanza al traffico stradale aumenta perché il Cammino cerca di evitare la N-634 tra qui e Santiago.

Santa Maria si festeggia l'8 settembre.

Il cammino

Al termine del brevissimo Abadín, il Cammino gira a destra (seguendo l'indicazione per i Correos) e quando raggiunge il Correos (ufficio postale) gira a sinistra. La strada è asfaltata e tranquilla. Tieni d'occhio il sentiero erboso che lascia la strada alla tua destra. Scende per attraversare il fiume e alla fine ritorna all'asfalto, girando a sinistra. Entra nella zona di As Paredes dopo aver superato la A-8.

Pulitissimo, docce eccellenti, grande cortile per rilassarsi, lenzuola in cotone, 1 metro dal supermercato, 2 minuti dal menù del giorno, forniscono asciugamani e hanno lavato i nostri vestiti. Hip hip urrà!

Believe it or not, this is our first albergue. We’ve been staying in hotels and pensions in triples.
What a fantastic introduction! We have a private room and bath. So clean and comfortable. Very modern and updated.
We paid for laundry to be done. 4 euros each.

Daniel has created this space that is warm, welcoming with happy cows next door! One of the best on del Norte.

Albergue Xabarin may very well be the best on the Norte. The host Daniel is very welcoming snd friendly. The place he created here is one of a kind. So with the stop!

Camino de Sant…

We walked past Gontan to Abadin and we were glad we did! What a beautiful property. Our host Daniel was wonderful. This location brings new meaning to pilgrim delight. Only 4/6 Pilgrims per room. Spacious and clean bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, the best we've seen yet. Your bed is made up with cotton sheets and you are provided with a towel! Be kind to yourself and make this a must stop. Beun Camino.

Camino de Sant…

The chef prepared a delicious chicken paella for our group, in a huge, authentic paella pan and then served us individually. It was so flavorful. He told us in advance it would take 45 min to prepare and it was ready in 45 min! This is a restaurant run by a very talented trained chef of 50 years. The other great news - kitchen is open all day and we ordered at 715pm - much earlier than the typical 830pm starting dinner time.
