Visited this albergue based on the comments below, and it was a personal highlight of the Camino del Norte for me. Matej is a fantastic host, and his albergue is relaxed and friendly. He also cooks a great dinner, and has a nice garden to relax and recover after a day of walking. I booked ahead via WhatsApp.

New albergue in Colombres you can find location with Google map!

No doubt best albergue since Irun! It’s Matej’s home and he opening up his home for pilgrims out of lot of love. He prepared delicious dinner, washed our clothes in washing machine and dryer, and we can just have a cup of tea and chill in his lovely living room or beautiful garden. You will stay in many public albergues on the way and probably gonna forget most of them years later, but an experience like this will be memorable for life.

(Also many people want to stay here, so make sure you first contact by phone to make a reservation!)

Only about 1.2 kms out of town on the main road but super great value - we got a double room for 40 euro. There is a wonderful restaurant about 400 metres away - all in all very relaxed and spotlessly clean
