Sobradelo è costruito su una collina piuttosto ripida, con un chiosco di gelati, farmacie, negozi, stazione ferroviaria, bar, banche, centro benessere e una piscina.

Circa cinque o dieci minuti dopo essere entrato in città, troverai il Centro Social Pontenova, il cui bar è aperto al pubblico. Una bella area ristoro sul retro, un ottimo menu del giorno a 9€. Il 10 di ogni mese, in concomitanza con il grande giorno di mercato della città, il centro serve un pasto speciale a 12€ a base di pulpo.

Bar Mar si trova a un paio di edifici di distanza dal Centro Social, sull'altro lato della strada. A questo punto, il nome della strada cambia in Estrada de Éntoma. Il proprietario del Bar Mar, Manuel Angel Martínez Ramos tel. 988 335 106, offre alloggio ai peregrini. 8€. 12 posti letto in 4 camere. Wifi disponibile. I resoconti sull'alloggio sono molto contrastanti. Ci sono anche diverse segnalazioni di "prezzi speciali per i pellegrini".

All'incrocio a tre vie di fronte al Centro Social, sia la strada che si dirama verso l'alto che quella che si dirama verso il basso hanno il nome di Calle de Éntoma. Prendendo il "ramo superiore" passerai davanti all'Ayuntamiento, dove potrai prendere un sello. Prendendo il "ramo inferiore" passerai davanti a un bancomat, alla stazione ferroviaria e al ponte a sette archi del XVI secolo sul río Sil. Entrambe le diramazioni si riuniscono nella parte alta della città, all'uscita della OU-0801.

Se scendi verso il fiume, puoi attraversare il ponte per mangiare in un ottimo ristorante, il Ristorante Museo. È un po' fuori dal percorso, ma molti pellegrini hanno commentato che il cibo è eccellente e la vista sul ponte è molto bella.

Il cammino

Non importa quale ramo della Calle de Éntoma tu abbia preso, salirai e raggiungerai la strada OU-0801, che ti porterà fuori da Sobradelo. Questa strada arriva fino a O Barco, ma il Camino ti porterà fuori dall'autostrada su sentieri più panoramici attraverso la foresta.

Dopo qualche km sul ciglio della strada, un indicatore del Camino ti porterà fuori dalla strada e poi a Éntoma.

The room was cool, it had real bed linen and was quiet. The shared was perfectly adequate, room price included a towel and having your washing done and dried was very much appreciated. We found Manuel to be friendly enough and it was nice to have an air conditioned bar to sit in and have drink in the afternoon heat. Little supermarket was open for some fresh fruit and snacks and the bar opposite kindly offered us a cheese baguette even though they weren't serving food at the time. I don't know what other 'shops' the above description refers to - we didn't see anything of note.

A great option to spend the night if you want to break up the stage between Las Médulas and O Barco.

Manuel the owner is a true gentleman and hospitalero, offering friendly service with a smile. For 19€ you get a single bed in shared room (4 beds, no bunks), laundry service and a coffee and light breakfast in the morning. Manuel also has a luggage transfer service if you want to send your bags.

I also recommend hungry pilgrims stop at Meson el Museo which has a yummy and generous menu del día for 13€ and has a super cool decor with lots of antiquities. The Venezuelan guys who run the restaurant are also very kind.

Good menu and breakfast. Drink on arrival. Room and bathroom was clean and freshly decorated. Grateful to arrive in Bar Mar after a long day.

We had a very unfortunate encounter with the owner of the Mal Bar he was extremely rude and appeared slightly unhinged, so much so that one of the locals from the bar across the road offered and we accepted a lift to the next town. The Camino provided it was very hot (26 degrees) and the young man was extremely kind and upset that his town treated us badly, my advice is try stay away if you can

I was able to book a bed at Bar Mar for €18 which included bed linen, a towel, laundry (wash and dry) and breakfast. Call Manuel at +34 988 335 106. He also served a pilgrim’s menu for €12.
