All'inizio della città.

Cimici!

Siamo stati trattati molto male.

Good position after a day with some hills to traverse. We had booked in advance (WhatsApp) but they didn’t appear to have our booking. Luckily they weren’t busy. Rooms didn’t appear to have been cleaned.. bunks had curtains and electrical point with light. No facilities to wash clothes other than bathroom sink. The man running the place may find that a smile would be much welcomed. We were they on a Sunday and found no bar noise

Probably my least favourite Albergue on the Camiño, shabby and lacking in atmosphere. The two female staff are friendly and helpful but the guy who runs it seems to want nothing to do with pilgrims. It’s also a bar for locals and can get loud. Dinner was 12€ and not very nice.

I was exhausted when I got there and the women were so cold. I needed a bit of human warmth, didn't get it there for sure! The app says breakfast included, no. Nor diner. The floor wasn't clean. My bed was comfortable though.

This Albergue was the first i rech after a long walk, so i reserved a bed. It wasn’t really good. The cabin has been ok, the sanitaire rooms could be cleaner.
The restaurant opens at 9.00 pm, too late for me…
It was very lid from the restaurant and you could smell the alcohol from the restaurant in your cabin. The personal has been unfriendly, not like the most spanish people, friendly and heartfelt.

Now they charge 20 euros - more than almost any other albergue on the Camino. But they have nothing to show for it - standard room with 20 beds, no kitchen, not even breakfast included. Miserable dinner of three fried eggs and french fries for 12 euro. Obviously a tourist price. Laundry is expensive and the machine eats your money without return. Staff are not nice and not helpful. The only other albergue in town open now has even bigger problems - read the reviews very carefully! So probably best to skip this town altogether.

Stayed at Casa Calvar for a night in August 2023. Dirty. The sheets and towels weren't clean, there were hair and stuff all over them, checked other beds - dirty as well. Exoected better for 15€. Stayed at much nicer hostels for cheaper. Receptionist was nice but didnt speak a word in English so making a reservation and then checking in wasnt that easy.
