Owner older couple very friendly helpful and cook themselves very tasty and fresh. I hurt my foot, she looked after me like a loving grandma and took me to the hospital where it costs nothing for pilgrims. She says here is your home today feel safe and good. Highly recommended

I stayed an extra day with Amelia and explored. Had a massage with Elena - her info is posted at the albergue. Great prices and highly recommend. Find her on IG or cell-
+34 646365272. Elena Blanco García- speaks English too.

Also loved my visit to Emilio Moro winery, close to Alea. Great wines, wonderful tasting and tour. You can do a pilgrim discount there. Contact them for more info, speak to Milagros.

The beds were great with real sheets and we had a comfortable stay. However, we had to walk 1km to the castle and city center and back at night. Shower was hand held type.

Absolutely loved my stay here. The hosts were the sweetest people. The dinner was absolutely delicious! If you are stopping in Ponferrada you want to stay here. Definitely recommend staying here!

Comfortable beds, 4 people in my room (2x bunks) not sure about the other rooms. I stayed two nights here as I needed a bit of time to prep for Camino Invierno I’m switching to. They allowed me to stay two nights, let me leave my bag during the day, made me feel really welcome. Great food, a nice garden, such a delight. The two nights I stayed here, the albergue wasn’t even half full - it deserves to be full! Stay here, you won’t regret it.

This was one of my favourite stays on the Camiño- the couple that runs this Albergue was fabulous.

Take the alternative trail to Ponferrada- it will save your legs 4 additional kms.

Have the family dinner. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. I felt like I was at my Grandmothers house.

Amalia and Herve are great hosts. Funny and fun loving, these folks do a great job. The beds are comfortable and clean, the garden is a nice place to rest after a long day’s walk and the food is almost gourmet style, absolutely delicious! Slightly off the beaten path, it’s still close to the old town. Improvements?: a kettle and fridge would be a nice touch. Again, thank you so much for your hospitality!
