Le château qui surplombe El Real de la Jara constitue l'excuse parfaite pour faire un peu d'escalade, admirer la vue et profiter d'un beau coucher de soleil. Il est vide à l'intérieur mais a été rendu sûr pour l'exploration.

The Road

Environ 1 km après avoir quitté El Real, le camino traverse un petit ruisseau qui marque l'entrée dans la région de Extremadura. Il continue à suivre des sentiers ruraux jusqu'à El Culebrin et le relais routier 24h adjacent.

L'auberge juste à l'entrée de la ville est fermée. Cependant, si vous continuez au-delà du bar et du supermarché, vous trouverez une auberge propre à droite qui a ouvert en 2024. Elle n'apparaît peut-être pas sur les cartes plus anciennes, mais vous pouvez la trouver sur Google. S'il vous plaît, vérifiez attentivement !

Toute récente cette albergue est un endroit agréable et bien conçu pour les pèlerins.

For 15 euros you get a gorgeous, wonderful, newly redecorated Albergue that feel more like a home. Stone floors, white walls, pastel lockers, single bath for 3 bunks. This is nicer than my new home! Hope this is a trend. To welcome peregrinos in style! The paint might still be a bit wet!

At least 1 supermarket open when we arrived. Ate bocadillo near clock tower and others at albergue went to restaurant for lunch. Appears to be plenty to eat at least on weekdays.

The municipal albergue at the entry to the town is currently closed to pilgrims. The next albergue is just a few steps down the camino and is open, along with others like Alojamiento Molino, which is family run. (Alojamiento Molino has been in service to pilgrims for more than 80 years!)
