The Road

Le camino passe le bar de l'alto et reste à l'écart de la route sur une courte distance. Entre ici et Fonsagrada, il suivra de façon adjacente, ou directement sur la route principale. Vous traverserez Cabreira à mi-chemin de Fonfría.

I had raxo con queso caliente bocadillo, coffees and aquarius to find the strength to walk more, it was one of those days and I was happy to find this restaurant

Got caught out as didn't realise it closed so early. Has a coke vending machine and another food/drink vending machine to the side of the building.

Open for coffee and food - should be on the app as a stop as otherwise a long way from Grandas or Castro

The bar is in the middle of nowhere and it’s a very timely stop. Yes the prices might be €1 more per item than in the villages, but I didn’t really care, I was just pleased to find it.

The food was basic but good, the staff were busy but polite.

It had a great atmosphere as it was rammed with peregrinos

A welcome sight after a long trek up from Grandas de Salime. Good coffee and refreshments. Perfect refuel stop before continuing to A Fonsagrada.

So grateful this was open. Very nice people. Food and beer options, all prices posted on the wall so no surprises like expressed below. We arrived at Noon on a Sunday, so if it’s open now it will be open other days. Be sure to stop!
