Enjoyed our stay at La Laguna. We are so grateful to Senor Isidro for facilitating our request to attend O Cebreiro’s pilgrim’s mass that night. So thankful!

Recent construction with pleasant rooms, low, sturdy, steel beds, spacious modern bathrooms, plenty of laundry line space with pins, a nice bar, and large restaurant/dining area. Plus, you get to watch the cattle drives from pasture to barn past the door.

Really great place, delicious pilgrim menu and dishes a la carte. Beds are clean and the showers are nice and hot. I felt so welcome coming here after a cold and miserable hike up the mountain.

La Escuela is perched on top of a small charming village that has incredible views. This was a perfect place to stay to break up the climb to O Cebreiro. The steep and muddy climb up to La Faba was more difficult than the hike from La Faba to La Laguna - and after La Faba you see out of the woods and into a more alpine feel with cattle grazing steep pastures and 360 views - I couldn’t stop taking photos. Now we only have a short 2 km climb this morning to O Cebeiro - we were glad we didn’t do the whole thing yesterday so we can stretch out our enjoyment of the natural beauty of these mountains.

We had a great dinner and breakfast at La Escuela - the food was great and very reasonably priced.

Their kitchen is open all day - they open at 7am for breakfast.

The family that runs it is very kind and welcoming. We stayed in a twin bed private room that was very comfort, warm and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place to stop, neat with lots of services. No kitchen. Nice helpful people running the place. Food not great but enough. Nothing much to do but enjoy the nice view. No living room in case of rain, just the restaurant.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. After the long trek up through the gorgeous valley we were greeted warmly by a kind staff that got us checked in quickly. The showers were clean with ample hot water and good water pressure. The hand washing area was great with 2 stinks and there was more than enough clothesline for drying clothes. The dorm room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The menu del dia was available from 1 pm until 8 pm. The owner was so helpful to weary pilgrims arriving late due to heavy showers moving through. The views down into the valley were spectacular before thunderstorms moved in. Ẁe would definitely stay here again!.

This is a great location to stay to break up the walk. In the morning you can easily reach O’Cebrio in less than an hour if you don’t keep stopping to take photos.
A single bed, good facilities, & a restaurant serving great food. They wash your clothes for 4€

Lots of single beds and dorms not overcrowded. As I had a leg injury, kind owner offered to carry my bag upstairs. Good food! Delighted I decided to stay here.
