La route commence ici à entrer dans le pays des vignes, et bientôt la source des délicieux produits d'El Bierzo devient évidente. Résiste à l'envie de goûter les raisins ; ils sont fréquemment aspergés d'insecticides. Il en va de même pour les cerisiers, mais cela n'arrête pas la plupart des pèlerins.

This was the first place open for breakfast after Ponferrada. The first cafe as you enter the village served great coffee and napolitanas.

We went to a lovely little pub / cafe in Fuentes nuevas. It was off the beaten track but worth the detour. The cafe is called Meson Los Comensales. The people had no English but were welcoming and we had a lovely meal.
