Le camino est maintenant entré dans la Meseta centrale, et le paysage ici a eu un effet durable sur le caractère des gens, mais son manque de matériaux de construction naturellement durables a signifié le contraire pour l'architecture. Beaucoup des trésors qui se trouvaient ici autrefois sont pratiquement perdus, le plus ancien bâtiment restant étant la maison du palais et l'église du village datant du 17e siècle.

Les vastes étendues ont ici un certain effet sur la psyché du pèlerin et passer outre, c'est manquer une étape importante du voyage. Ne vous attendez pas à voir de nombreux endroits le long du chemin jusqu'au dernier moment, ils sont souvent construits dans les vallées peu profondes où l'ombre et l'eau s'accumulent.

Il y a une fontaine et une aire de pique-nique à 2,4 km à l'extérieur de Rabé de las Calzadas.

Cute town we stopped for a lunch le Fuente and it was great as stated earlier the lady in the shop is friendly and the for is good. The restroom was also very clean. The town is also a place I would stay if I did not stay in Burgos.

The man who runs La Fuente is absolutely so lovely that you will want to hang out and review his wall of international treasures. From small koala bears to American flags, the wall is packed with “our” stuff.

The tortilla was amazing. Tea was fab. He was a treasure. Go there just for his sonrisa. It could light up the whole town!

There is no fountain at the rest area so take plenty of water with you!

Gosh we were so lucky in all the places we stayed on our 2022 Camino stage,
Accommodation here was great, clean & comfortable,
We had the pilgrim meal here also which was top notch & filling, the lady of the house was very nice & helpful.
Also while we were there a few old nuns dropped by to invite us pilgrims to the monastery later in the evening for pilgrim prayers, those that went though it was lovely & received a medal to keep them safe on their journey,

Restaurante and Bar La Fuente was a great eating spot - good prices, nice selection both ala carte and via the menu del diá. For those needing them, they also offered vegetarian menu del diá. The hours are very pilgrim-friendly. Free wi-fi and good bathroom too!
