La Iglesia de San Emeterio et San Celedonio est le bâtiment le plus massif à des kilomètres à la ronde. Tout comme l'Arbre à Gernika, elle était un point de rencontre pour les seigneurs de la Viscaya.

The Road

Après avoir passé l'église et le bar au début de la ville, le camino arrive sur la route principale où il tourne à gauche et suit la route jusqu'à Larrabetzu.

Following the trees there are numerous large fallen trees blocking the Camino footpath route from Eskerika to Goikolexea. It is possible to navigate them but pretty treacherous so pilgrims may want to consider the road route instead

Camino de Sant…

From Goikolexea to Lezama it is only walking on road pavement/sidewalk so if your feet are tired (there is already quite a lot of walking on pavement this day) I recommend to take the bus from Goikolexea to Lezama via Larrabetzu. Alternatively take it from Larrabetzu to Lexama if you want to stop in Larrabetzu, which is quite nice and cozy.
