The Road

Au delà de Jarrio, le camino évite la plupart du temps la N-634 et s'en tient plutôt aux petites routes de campagne. Cependant, une fois qu'il traverse l'A-8, ce schéma change et il suit la route principale jusqu'à Cartavio. De Cartavio à La Caridad, il s'efforce de rester à l'écart de la route, la quittant brièvement mais y revenant toujours. À La Caridad, après avoir passé l'albergue municipal, elle revient sur l'ancienne N-634 qui traverse la ville.

Hotel Casona Naviega is spectacular! The room was really comfortable with nice touches and the breakfast was amazing and generous. Many delicious and hearty fruit, meat, cheese, bread, options. The staff were very kind and extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay - with bikes - easy and comfortable. There is a lovely outdoor courtyard as well. Highly recommend!!

This beautiful family run hotel is a breath of fresh air along the way. Located on the Camino overlooking Navia, reasonably priced, excellent food and the owners go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and your every need is met. We came in soaking wet and were handed dry towels, warm drinks and well fed. You will not be sorry you rested a night in the Hotel Capellan!

Hotel Arco Navia welcomed us soaking wet at 10:30 am and made sure that we had heat in our rooms right away

The roque is one of cleanest and friendly Albergue on the Norte.

Cafeteria Martinez has an English menu, had large servings of food and seems to be willing to prepare great tasting meals at any time throughout the day which is a bonus for us hungry pilgrims not aligning with the typical meal schedule.

Ok bed. Ok room. But expect to be woken up very early by the maids dragging the beds, music from their radio and slamming doors… not worth €50 for the night. View from the bed is the toilet.

The signage leaving Navia is sparse (and may have something parked in front of it). When you get to the top of Calle la Peña, bear left and keep going straight until you reach a T junction (there are a couple of arrows before this but also several unmarked turns). Go right at the T past the farm and then bear left on the Y junction by the recycling bins. There’s a clear marker just beyond them. blueK

If you arrive on a Sunday (as we did) and everything is shut, and you gotta eat, then head to the bus station as it's got a really nice restaurant attached to it

It’s not just an okay place!!! I just dont know if the last comment is true… the hospitalero is very friendly and gives you good and very helpful tips for upcoming stages. The albergue is one of the cleanest I have ever been to the camino!!! I really can recommend it!!
