Merveilleuse albergue tenue par Dries et son chien Otto. Piscine, dîner et petit déjeuner bio exceptionnels, seulement 9 places disponibles dans des lits très confortables et des matelas boxtop ( !). . Tous les meubles sont faits à la main par le propriétaire. Il y a aussi une maison à trois étages, des terrasses avec des marteaux-piqueurs pour se détendre et regarder le paysage magnifique de la nature environnante... Dries a parcouru de nombreux caminos et aide les pèlerins avec tout ce qu'ils ont besoin de savoir pour la suite de leur voyage.

A l'intersection, il faut aller à droite sur environ 500m pour atteindre la Casa Alternativo. Mais pas d'inquiétude ! Le lendemain, il n'est pas nécessaire de traverser la zone industrielle et il n'est pas non plus nécessaire de retourner à l'intersection : Il y a un raccourci juste à côté de la Casa Alternativo qui vous amène directement à la voie verte (complementario), à seulement 100m ! Donc pas besoin de zone industrielle !

c'était de loin l'un des plus beaux arrêts de mon voyage. Dries était si drôle et charmant et l'endroit se sentait complètement comme à la maison. Je reviendrais définitivement - ne serait-ce que pour obtenir la recette du plat de pâtes qu'il a servi.
Je recommanderais définitivement à quiconque de rester ici sur leur camino. La compagnie et l'atmosphère n'avaient pas d'égal ! Je n'imagine pas trouver un meilleur endroit que celui-ci à nouveau x

Deux toilettes et douches (un ensemble dans un abri).
35 euros pour lit, dîner (plat principal, dessert, vin) et petit-déjeuner.
Le vin était celui du voisin à côté, naturel sans produits chimiques.
Les lits étaient confortables.
Il y a une piscine et un espace de détente.
Hôte sympathique

Where else can you stay where you are awaken with beautiful music (Ave Maria in my case) and a candlelight communal breakfast?! The owner, Dreis, also prepared a delicious homemade dinner full of much needed fresh vegetables and homemade ice cream for dessert! Oh and the outdoor shower was super refreshing after a nice Camino walk. This is a great place to stay, you won’t forget it.

The reviews can’t do it justice. It’s a true mi casa su casa place run by the friendliest Belgium host, Dries and his dog, Otto. Family style sitting together to eat a healthy dinner served with wine and helpful guidance from a man who knows his way along the Caminha. Breakfast is a delightful surprise you can’t miss! Well worth the switch from the coastal to central route if just for this place alone. Go. You won’t be disappointed. You’ll probably leave with at least one new friend x

Phantastic place to go whilst on the camino. Hippy style, relaxing, clean, nice warm shower, delicious food. Dries is a great host.

Casa Alternativo is a must-do while walking the Camino. Unique hostel with a free and creative soul, a high fun factor and very tasty food! Dries immediately makes you feel at home. As an experienced pilgrim, he is also happy to help you with tips and tricks about the routes. You can also go there for a drink and a fresh, high-quality lunch made with local products to cool down and boost your energy level.

Had a great evening in this quite unusual albergue. Lovely quiet place to stay and relax after a long day! I felt welcome and the food was delicious.

Such an amazing place. Very welcoming. Very heart warming. Host Dries, and his uncle are amazing people. Loved the dog too, so smart. What a nice environment. Just what you need after a long walk. Dinner and breakfast prepared with care, so special. Nice background music, and we woke up to music as well just in time for breakfast, no need to set the alarm. Very memorable stay. One of the best. Will definitely stay again.

Casa Alternativa is cozy, well equipped and heart warming place to stay. It's set up with multiple resting areas that conforms pilgrims after long day journey.
30€ cost includes delicious dinner and breakfast, best advices, comfy beds the most welcoming hospitality.

If you look for a place of your way, stay there as Casa Alternativa is one of the best albergues on Portugues Camino!

Casa Alternativa is really special place on Portugues Camino. It's not only beautiful and welcoming by it's owner Dries, but also set up with many separate rest areas that really comfort people after long day journey. You also need to be aware that 30€ cost includes delicious dinner & breakfast that are home cooked and may be one of the most delicious meals on our Camino! Places to sleep are comfortable, house is very cosy, so no reasons to stay anywhere else ;)
