Pension A Fonte Das Bodas is absolutely diabolical! We arrived and there was no sign out front and no one there -completely locked up with a padlock on the gate, in spite of advising that we could arrive any time. When they eventually arrived and opened the place up, a sparrow flew out the front door, there was leftover bread and food and used plates on the tables. The place was filthy (un-vacuumed/unwashed floors, tables not wiped down, dust on everything) and had junk everywhere. There was zero reception and they did not offer wifi.

There is only one other house in the hamlet, and no services.
There is also no kitchen for you to use, so you are completely reliant upon the owners for meals. (Given the state of the rest of the house I would not want them cooking me food.)

We genuinely felt uncomfortable being there and did not stay.

Particularly not recommended for women or solo travellers.

A private Casa is open at Silvio. Run by the residents, they rooms in their house and offer meals and snacks.

A brilliant place to stop. Has everything. Brand new and spotless
