If you don’t enjoy sleeping then this is the place for you. Be warned, the bunkbeds that are joined as four, when one person moves, you ALL move. Apart from that it’s a nice place. Communal meal was good.

We stayed here two years ago and have been trying to stay at places we haven’t stayed before. This one was not to be missed. It was as good as last time. Such a chilled out place to stay, lovely evening meal and breakfast too.
The village is interesting, very small and well worth a visit

This albergue has been one of the nicest to-date on my Camino. The place is charming, the hosts are welcoming, and the dinner was lovely.

Welcoming after my very long day. Lovely garden area under trees with chairs and loungers to sit and relax. Convenient area to do hand washing Bar for drinks! Group dinner at outdoor table was delicious! Loved all the conversations. I was starving after only a croissant all day and I had plenty of food! Pasta, salad, meat, dessert and wine. Hot, clean showers with changing area and place to hang things. Bunk beds sturdy and comfortable. We were on lower floor and could hear some footsteps above but not bad, plus our room was nice and cool on a very hot day. Lovely hosts. Would stay here again.

We needed a lunch before walking to Sahagún and this little oasis blew me away. Food and service was amazing. I would eat here regularly if it was in the US.

My opinion varies a bit from the previous comments. There is a really great outdoors area to hang out at, and the host was very welcoming. The dinner was very good, but portions were not close to enough and I’m in bed hungry. The bed pads are an awful excuse for a mattress and so thin your hips sink right through to the wooden frame. It’s an extra €2 if you want disposable sheets. If you have top bunk you can lift your head and stare into the eyes of your neighbor. And upstairs noise is loud right above your head.

I stayed in a (the?) private room and it’s right off the lovely garden with sun loungers which means you may have people sitting right outside your room talking loudly, playing music etc. That wouldn’t bother some but if you want quiet to take a nap or you aren’t well and need to rest it won’t be ideal for you.

Washing was €6 euros to wash and €6 to dry which I thought was a bit much.

I didn’t have dinner as the vegetarian option didn’t seem worth the money.

This is a ‘must’ place to stay. The hosts are lovely, the meal was absolutely amazing & gave me memories off Tuscany last year. There is a fountain in the graced courtyard which is wonderful for tired aching feet. For 5 euro all my washing was done & the Italian coffee in the morning was a great way to start the day. Highly recommend a stay here.

This albergue is perfect for a quiet stay with a lovely Italian family - dinner was delicious. Pietro the hospitalero was terrific, he was the meal host and a lot of fun!

Great outside space, foot cooling fountain and sun lounges in the garden.

But, showers were not hot, not even warm. Not sure of the problem, all 5 of us had disappointing showers. 😖

Camino de Sant…

We wanted a quiet place with a private room for two and private bath after a 30km day and found it in this Albergue. Extremely accommodating hosts with our late arrival, fixing a separate meal for us. Nice accommodations, not fancy but a lot of special touches. Strongly recommend this Albergue.
