I arrived on a very cold and windy day. The hostel has little heating but the warm welcome more than made up for this. We had a fabulous dinner cooked by a basque txoko chef. turned humble ingredients into a really delicious supper. He was just staying the night and meals are cooked by those staying that day. The hospitalieros were so kind and give great hugs on parting. Do go there but don’t forget you can take what you need but do give what you can.

A great Albergue run by lovely Volunteers that change over every two weeks. Dan and Reneta were kind and very friendly, so helpful. To be a Volunteer, you have to have been a Pilgrim. The meal was delicious, lots of vegetables and a meat option. Good bathrooms, very clean Albergue , so glad we stayed.

Camino de Sant… (non vérifié)

My partner and I stayed here as pilgrims last year May ‘22 and it was wonderful. Her 2nd time, my first. We look for donativos because, yes, they are the heart of the Camino as noted above. The sunset together with all the pilgrims was a tranquil way to be in community with others after a long, hot day. Magic

So, we return in just a few weeks-2nd ½ of April- as hospitaleros to serve again on the Camino. Cannot wait to return to this special place, preserving and providing the pilgrimage hospitality this place and others are known for.

See you soon, in communitas, pilgrim?

This albergue is donation and the host is very funny and has very one who participated in communal dinner sing songs what a wonderful lively place and also spiritual because. They had a private pilgrim prayer room and also as game room and plenty of wash and dry lines , it was clean and very friendly

Camino de Sant…

Great experience! Clean, modern bathrooms. Decent beds with good air flow. The hosts and meal make it though. The meal was great and they accommodate vegetarians. Sharing session and sunset viewing after dinner. This is a special and memorable place.
