Al Beso is a fantastic universe. ✨️This albuerge is run by a couple, Jessica & Marijn. They met on the Camino and decided to move to Spain, out of love for the country and (caring for) pilgrims. You can feel that in everything : their beautiful, self-renovated house&albuerge, with wooden beds, lovely garden with hammocks , charming resting places, and... Jessica's delicious plant-based dinner. What a flavor bomb! 🙏🏼

They do everything with love, and that's a balm for every pilgrim. Now that I've completed my Camino, I can say that they run by far the most beautiful and soulful albuerge I've ever been to. It's well worth the 2 km walk past Triacastela, even if you're tired. ❤️✨️🎉

An oasis!! Comfy beds, stone showers, hammocks and seating with amazing views of the valley. The owners met on their Camino and have poured a lot of love into this place. We had an exceptional (vegan) dinner, including an amazing nettle soup. Great big portions and wine from Villafranca. An incredible orange cake for a pilgrim’s birthday (maybe one of the best vegan bakes I’ve ever had). Highly recommend! Note that the property is entirely vegan, so they ask that you don’t prep or store any animal products in the kitchen.

We decided to walk slightly further past Triacastela to A Balsa, Albergue El Beso. We had an amazing stay. The albergue is beautiful - timber bunks and great showers, and a hammocks area out the back of the albergue. The owners Marijn and Jessica are vegans (we are not vegan ourselves), and we got served an amazing meal - one of the best we have had on the Camino! Highly highly recommend this as a place to stay.

As a non-vegan travelling with my 18 year old carnivore son this place was a risk.
We both loved it. Food was great, plentiful and a joy to stay at. We both really enjoyed the meal and felt really good to get some vegetable vitamins after the relatively bland spanish diet of the last 3 weeks.
Highly recommended even if you’re not vegan.

If you want it all spic and span in the corners this is not the place for you.
If you want cool atmosphere, good vegan food and lots of it, Puzzles to do, books to read, chairs in the backyard to hang out on, hammocks in the woods to lounge in, homemade log bunkbeds with lots of height and no squeaking and a very lovely host family, this is a place for you.

Easy .
Wooden home made bunk beds with lots of room , good hot showers .
Nice to spend time in the garden.
Enjoyed the vegan dinner sitting in the garden very much.
Check out the Art gallery nearby, wasn’t open until after dinner.

A wonderful place run by a lovely family. We had comfy beds in this small and clean alburgue. The showers worked great. The outdoor experience in the hammocks in the forest behind the alburge was so relaxing! Our vegan dinner was tasty and very filling. My wife and I highly recommend El Beso!

Such a unique place on the Camino! The owners turned the old building into a lovely albergue full of charm. Even the bunk beds are different from other places. They have a lovely garden and the atmosphere is just calm and nice. Dinner and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Stay here if you can!
