Just about reaching the train station, you will see 2 signs. Official one shows to the left. Another is painting as CP as yellow arrow which shows to the right. We followed the official one which is all the way on N3 high way. Another people says they made their way by railway line. Both are boring and no shade but lead you to Azambuja . Good news is you may have done the worst part from Lisbon to Santiago , regarding the one of the volunteer say.

Locals restaurant, super busy and lively. Good food and drink, great for a rest spot. And they have a stamp for the Camino passport.

When we got here we found the arrows taking us i to the station. Ignore the arrow and turn right. You go immediately over a railway bridge, then a wooden pedestrian bridge and then follow the old signs ( yellow and blue arrows) . You then walk along the railway line for the rest of the day to Azambuja.

Camino de Sant…

The path has been changed from what is on the map. On the map the old track stays with railway on left hand side. The new signs want to take you over the railway bridge. We stayed on the map track. Very good and quiet. Tricky small 30mtr section where had to walk right next to rail track. Rest of track is great.

Camino de Sant…

There is a good bar next to the train station - well used by locals - good food and wine and beer - owner has a stamp his father made 48 years ago.
You don’t have to go that big loop the map shows. On the river side of the station just walk to the end of the station and out the other side this takes you into the path that runs alongside the railway. There’s some rough ground that is perfect to stealth camp - but not next to the clump of trees which is a really dirty area, just go down the little road to the right then off track.

Camino de Sant…

Use the white metal footbridge to cross the train tracks and then turn right toward the chimney. there’s a camino sign in front of you to the right as you exit the open air train station.

Camino de Sant…

Should have made clear to get to the bar cross the road bridge that goes over the railway then follow the road round to the right at the roundabout on the other side. Rather than retrace your steps to get back on the Camino, cross the line in the station and turn left through a narrow channel between station and high fence….
