Just to the right of walkway for Igrexa de Santa Maria, there is a tiny little hut with a sign that says Encaixe de Muxia. I’m so glad I popped in there- two old women who handcraft beautiful bookmarks, placemats, napkins, coin purses. They’re the perfect souvenir to get something local and handmade. You can even take a photo of them weaving. It was mind blowing to watch them work 🤯. An authentic souvenir I will cherish from Muxia.

Aure runs a super clean and comfortable Albergue with an elevator. She even has private rooms and some have handicap bathrooms. She has a on sight laundromat and don’t forget to check out the roof/terrace to hang your laundry to dry. The view is spectacular of the whole village, harbor and ocean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Bicycles welcome with good storage. Highly recommend and will stay again.
