Mesa de picnic justo antes de Vega. La tienda de comestibles está a 70m pasada la plaza principal.

The Road

El camino pasa por Barbechu, Aramante y El Castru. Desde El Castru, el camino puede seguir la carretera o un sendero. El sendero pasa por Aveno antes de volver brevemente a la carretera. Entre aquí y Vega de Poja hay muchas intersecciones de pequeños caminos rurales. Mantente alerta para ver las flechas en cada cruce.

Fontaine derrière l'église, bar et resto, distributeur automatique, pharmacie ouverte du lundi matin au samedi midi et petit supermarché ouvert en semaine et le dimanche matin.

Stayed here in May 2024 for 10€. I had hoped to stay at the monestary in Valdedios, but it was a Monday and they're closed every Monday.

The albergue door is locked, and there is no indication whatsoever that you need to go to the Taverna down the street to register and get the code for the door.
It was very basic - you don't get disposable sheets or anything.
The kitchen has a microwave and a tiny table, and had minimal utensils (I think two plates and I used my own knife and cutlery).
You have to use the sink in the bathroom to wash anything. Coviran grocery store down the street past the Taverna.

Had one bathroom for women and one for men, each with one toilet and one shower. The women's bathroom door could use a lock.

My experience wasn't great, mainly because of other pilgrims - one took a whole room to himself (I'll assume the best- maybe he had COVID and didn't want to infect anyone?).
Also, (maybe because of the same pilgrim?) there was no toilet paper in the women's washroom.
A different pilgrim had the largest room closed/blocked too (annoying after my 40km day).

Really shitty albergue. Bad beds, no sheets, really pricey. Do not stay here if possible!
