Grandas de Salime es el pueblo más grande desde Salas y ofrece suficientes bares y tiendas para ocupar tu tarde. La Iglesia de San Salvador se alza en el centro del pueblo. Hay varias casas solariegas diseminadas por el pueblo, la mayoría del siglo XVIII. La joya de la ciudad es el muy recomendable Museo Etnográfico de Grandas de Salime, que cuenta con más objetos en su colección de los que puedas llegar a ver.

Fiesta

Nuestra Señora del Carmen se celebra los días 2 y 3 de julio. San Salvador se celebra el primer fin de semana de agosto.

The Road

El camino sale de la ciudad por la Calle Carmen y pasa por la Capilla del Carmen antes de unirse a la carretera AS-28 por varias partes; saliendo y volviendo a unirse entre pueblos en su camino hasta el alto que marca la frontera entre Asturias y Galicia. Hay un albergue más en el lado asturiano de la frontera, en Castro. La primera aldea a la que llegas, la de La Farrapa, no tiene servicios para peregrinos.

A really fine and lovely place.
Very friendly service and we were hungry and She made af plate of different Chese and Meat, bread which tasted wonderfull.
The bar is very fine decorated and full of other groceries and fruit you Can buy.

There is a new wine bar / cafe that has cheese, chorizo and antipasti, coffee and great wine in Main Street. They don’t have a menu - just ask them you won’t regret

There are only two bar and coffee shops in this place. Cafe de Jaime opens at 9:00am, the other one cross the road to the park opens at 8:00am.

At bar Occidente (in the little street just along the church) you can eat a very good pulpo (octopus) dish. Actually it is the specialty to eat in this little bar/restaurante.
