Combarro podría ser uno de los pueblos con más encanto y quintaesencia gallega de toda la costa. Los pescadores han trabajado estos mares durante siglos, y los horreós que bordean la costa (y que parecen flotar justo por encima de la línea de flotación) se utilizaban para secar el pescado además del grano.

El pueblo es pequeño y compacto y el camino en realidad no ve las mejores partes, para llegar a ellas sigue recto donde el camino gira cuesta arriba a la derecha para unirse a la carretera. Sería difícil perderse en Combarro, pero si te desvías del camino ten en cuenta que hay otra variante cuyas flechas podrían desviarte mucho.

The Road

La Variante Espiritual cruza la carretera e inmediatamente comienza su ascenso al Monte Redondo. La subida varía en intensidad de extremadamente empinada a suavemente ondulada y viceversa. Ve con cuidado.

Stayed there in May 2023, seemed a reasonable price for a hotel room on booking.com. It's close to the water, good food at at the bat downstairs. Considering the bar, it didn't seem too noisy, but I had just walked almost 30Km from Redondola, so I was already a bit tired, maybe.?
All that said, a good location and price, no complaints from me.

I agree with the opinion expressed above: Pinela Terraza is a lovely place to stop upon entering Combarro. The view of the water is spectacular, the terrace is a comfortable place to put down your pack in a corner, and you can have cerveza, Albariño, americano and/or Santiago cake. And Hotel Combarro, right across the street, is a friendly and comfortable place to prepare for the next morning’s arduous climb to Armenteira.

What an amazing little town that has zest and has great vibes. We are super happy we are spending the night here, it truly is special and beautiful! Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Entrepedras right on the river!

It is a great place to stay. Clean, great garden, good beds, etc. The Village is touristy but worthwhile.

We booked a 2 bedroom apt with Casa Noelmar. When we got to Combarro we were wet and tired. We sent a text thru WhatsApp and the manager met us promptly. It was such a cute historic place. Do be careful if you are tall. Would stay there again anytime! The heat was working - this helped dry our wet clothes.

Combarro ist ein wunderschöner Ort mit entspannender Atmosphäre. Bisher der schönste Ort auf meinem Weg. Die Herberge Nuestra Senora del Camino ist sehr schön, sauber gut organisiert und hat einen paradiesischen Garten zum Seele entspannen. Ich bin absolut begeistert! Die Leiterin des Hostels ist herzlich, sehr angenehm und hilfreich. Eine traumhafte Kombination von Unterkunft und Ortschaft.

Albergue not listed here was lovely … not sure how to submit it, so I’m leaving a comment. It is very clean, modern, and has really great shower facilities. :-) Outdoor patio, yard, and a common room with kitchen and tv. Really nice.

Just before entering Combarro, there is a lovely restaurant with a view on the left. The owners are lovely, the food amazing and they even had a vegan burger! It was a great lunch before visiting Combarro.
