El camino aquí comienza a entrar en el país de la vid, y pronto se hace evidente la fuente de los deliciosos productos de El Bierzo. Resista el impulso de probar las uvas; con frecuencia se rocían con insecticidas. También lo son los cerezos, pero eso no detiene a la mayoría de los peregrinos.

This was the first place open for breakfast after Ponferrada. The first cafe as you enter the village served great coffee and napolitanas.

We went to a lovely little pub / cafe in Fuentes nuevas. It was off the beaten track but worth the detour. The cafe is called Meson Los Comensales. The people had no English but were welcoming and we had a lovely meal.
