Notice

The Road

Unfortunately the path along the coast is actually closed now. There is a fence that is really tough to circumvent. Up until the fence it is really beautiful though.

There is a shortcut through one of the fields, but if you take that make sure to take the left portal to leave the field, since the right one is not doing so well.

A couple of Spanish women walking back from the path told us it’s no longer possible even if you wanted to- there’s a real wall blocking it now a km down

Just after you have crossed the bridge after the beach in La Arena you will get to a car park. Here the app shiw you to turn right. It is up sone stairs.
There is a sign saying the path is closed. I took it anyway and it was really brautiful. There was no rocks on the path and everything was fine. There was also other people. Very nice.

If you follow the instructions to take the right turn at the car park you will find the route is shut
Having viewed a comment from another pilgrim I took the risk and squeezed between the barrier.
Totally agree, the route remains very safe. The is one rockfall which is very passable and should not be any cause for concern.
The route is beautiful.

Beautiful beach with good longboarding waves. Many restaurant’s for such a small place. Supermarket in town. Short walk to Pobeña
