Camino de Sant… (not verified)

These are the two kindest hosts I’ve met in the ten albergues I’ve stayed at in last ten days. They’re so thoughtful and upbeat. And the meal was very delicious (salad, bean soup and wine). The interior is brand new. The grounds are so nice. The beach ten minutes away is perfect. Above all else the hosts are truly thoughtful generous people who made this a unique stay for me. And it is really close to the Camino. Definitely a winner …

Best albergue i’ve visited! I absolutely agree with everything that is written in other comments below :)

Just be careful it is a small town and beaches nearby can be very busy during the weekend. Better to eat lunch in any of previous towns. :)

You will get an absolutely delicious dinner in albergue .

I stayed in the Private Albergue in Duesos a few kilomètres befor La Isla. For me this is what the camino is about. A husband and wife run the place, they are pilgrims themselves.

The welcome was warm, they did our washing, the fee us food that came from their garden (beautiful lentil curry and fresh salad), and breakfast too.

The place is super clean and welcoming. You can really feel the spirit of the Camino in this place. My favourite place by far.

Just a few Km short of La Isla, is the Duesos pilgrim hostel, privately owned by a amazing couple, on arrival was given a cold beer, in a frosted glass, there are only 12 beds here, but it is brand new, with cotton sheets, new mattresses, everything, dinner is all home grown.
A true Camino hostel, with amazing hospitality.....it is worth the short detour........& they have a really friendly, cute dog.....

I stayed in the private albergue in Duesos only 2 km before La Isla and it has been one of the best experience so far.
The couple running it has been fantastic, one of the warmest welcome. Amazing meal. Really suggest it and have to listen to the ethic or the place-they are peregrines, hence this dreams coming true. Works on donation as well

We stayed at monte y mar, it was lovely. Great food, super friendly, lovely comfy clean room and safe bike storage.

Camino de Sant…

There are currently signs up along the trail to say the La Isla Albergue is closed for repairs

Camino de Sant…

I’m staying in Hotel Monte y Mar and recommend it highly! It’s a 1 star, but very clean, and the owners are very friendly!! Price today for one person in a single room with breakfast is 25€. It’s on the main road on the Camino!

Camino de Sant…

I stayed at hotel monte y mar. The staff are wonderful and the room is clean and comfortable with private bathroom. They have a pilgrim special in the month of June and September for 20€ per night with breakfast! The town doesn’t have many restaurants or shops so just be prepared.

Camino de Sant…

I stayed at hostel marejada. Not listed here. But the cost for bed dinner and breakfast was 28 eu. The room and dinner worth it. But the breakfast not.
