It seemed so out of place - this modern structure next to a monastery built in the Middle Ages. It was a terrible weather day when we arrived on our camino - torrential rains and gale force winds. We were drowned rats when we arrived! Cold and shivering. There was coffee and tea in the lobby - very nice. The property only has 28 rooms - shocking - but beautiful. Would love to be there or a sunny summer day. They don’t have a restaurant but there is one open down the hill after they pilgrim’s blessing service. Had the best Galician soup EVER! Surprised so much hardwood flooring in the lobby and in our bathroom. The breakfast service was nice but no fruit available.
